Every sailor on The Great Lakes fear the month of November. The weather starts to change and the lakes have an abundance of energy. The drastic changes in the wind can force freighters to anchor wherever possible. These Gales have taken many lives over the years. "The Gales of November" deserve the respect of all those who have sailed them. Much like a cowboy riding an untamed bronco, so do we ride the waves of the sea.
